Mute Student Volume Settings and Restrict Covert CD Listening

Teachers can take control of a student computer's volume settings directly from the teacher computer. You can mute them if they are listening to music when it's not appropriate.

PC Power Control

Teachers can easily control the student PC power in a lab with simple clicks of a button. Select student computers or the whole lab can be Turned ON, Turned OFF, Restarted or Logged ON/OFF. The Log ON/OFF is especially beneficial for lab maintenance or to help the littlest students in the lab log on in an efficient manner. Administrators appreciate this feature, as they are looking for ways to cut costs on building power, which lab computers consume quite a lot of.

Student Presentations Broadcasted to each Student Monitor

Teachers can also pick one student to make his/her presentation to the rest of the class via each Student PC's desktop. This is helpful for multimedia presentations using applications like PowerPoint® and for other school projects or portfolios.

Send and Collect Files

Another great aspect of the InterCLASS system is the ability for teachers to distribute, collect and redistribute files to students. Teachers can distribute files from any application that is installed on both the teacher and Student PCs. Students can edit the files and the teacher can collect them back for grading. The files can also be redistributed back to the students.

Testing and Polling

InterCLASS is one of the easiest ways to gauge student learning through testing and polling. Teachers can easily create tests and quizzes with the InterCLASS database, that will automatically be graded by the system. All answers can be seen in real time by the teacher as students are taking their test. Questions can also be shuffled to avoid a student's wandering eye.
